Flying has become quite the norm over the last few years, but was a big deal two decades ago. This thread is an attempt to take all of us back in time and deliver a virtual experience of a magical trip that I experienced in 2003. Those were the days of film cameras, and taking pictures wasn t as easy as pulling a smartphone out and shooting, but we did manage many.
The first time I got onto a domestic flight was as a baby, and I don’t remember how that flight was. Next, I was on a short one hour flight on an Avro (HS 748) in 1981 operated by the then Indian Airlines; a surreal experience it was. There was a long gap, before circumstances forced me onto a B737-700 of Jet Airways from Chennai to Mumbai in Aug-2002. I never realized that just a few months thereafter, I’d be flying out of India, on some iconic aircraft, to a country not many people are fortunate to visit –
